‘Fortress of Franzensfeste’ by Markus Scherer + Walter Dietl. A renovated fortress in northern Italy that was refurbished to host regional exhibitions. Originally constructed in the 19th century by an Italian family has since then been used as a gunpowder depot, army territory and most recently host to the ‘08 European contemporary art biennale.
